Training and guidance

The training and guidance of our associates is one of our priorities at KOHLER to innovate in all the areas of the company: R&D, organization, management.

As a result, we have an ambitious training plan of 2,8% of payroll per year.

Certifying and/or qualifying actions are taken to allow the personal and professional growth of everyone. It will allow our associates to reach higher qualification levels, discover new departments, and be promoted to other positions in other departments.

To go along with the constant evolution of positions and access new technologies, 40% of our training actions are related to technical areas (ex: cybersecurity, CFD simulation…)

Apprenticeship and training new generations

As a local company, we put a great emphasis on the training of students through internship and apprenticeship.

As a result, we have built strong partnerships with local professional and technical high schools specialized in electrotechnical studies. This allows us to train young generations, especially for technical positions and professional Baccalauréat trainings.

This policy also applies to post-Baccalauréat studies with strong partnerships with regional and national schools and universities specialized in engineering.

Retraining actions

Training campaigns to our production positions are available each year to candidates who discover electrotechnical positions.

These campaigns are made for people with retraining projects. They are made possible thanks to partnerships with local temporary employment agencies, the national employment agency (France Travail) and training organizations.

Professional integration

The integration of new associates is very important for us. A custom-made immersion program was created to discover our company and our products.

This program includes a visit and presentation of our company, individual meetings with managers from different departments, a safety training, and, depending on positions, an immersion in our production plant.

Our managers are trained to support and help the integration of each new associate.

In any case, additional days off exist :

  • 16 additional days off equivalent per year for people with an exempt status
  • Up tp 21 additional days off per year for people with a non-exempt status working 39h a week (administration)
  • Free Friday afternoon and up to 4,5 additional days off for people with a non-exempt status working in production

When an associate is hired in our company, he or she can open and enjoy a time saving account.

When an associate is hired in our company, he or she can open and enjoy a time saving account. Every year, one can save up to 10 additional days off, days off or hours that were not used.

After that and with no time limitation, it can be used as a salary supplement (days off purchase) or as a time supplement (part-time work) as defined in our company agreement.

Conviviality

Several activities are organized by our Economic and Social Committee or volunteer associates.

Barbecues, end-of-the-year party, cultural or sports events: it allows our associates to meet in another context, chat and learn about each other.

These events are important for us because they participate in the making of a nice work experience.
